Philip Shaw is an Associate in Ministry at Union Baptist Church, in Durham, North Carolina. Philip speaks about his "life changing experience" and success and in 2005, both nationally and internationally. He finally accepted the call on his life and preached his initial sermon in 2007 and continues to faithfully teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to new believers, the sick, the poor and the uneducated.  Philip graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shaw University, is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education and is aspiring to earn a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Shaw University. Philip loves life, public speaking, interactive teaching and continues to develop many workshops, classes and seminars to help people.

Min. Shaw began teaching in youth ministry and vacation bible school in 2011 and bases his teaching approach in education, recovery and healing on the eight principles found in the Beatitudes.  Besides building a team ministry, Philip has established ministry leadership in several areas of ministry. Youth ministry, boy scouts, mime ministry, board of Deacons, Co-Chair of Volunteer committee, past Sunday School superintendent and many other ministerial duties and responsibilities as assigned.  Not afraid to think big, Philip is currently working on solutions that involve mobilizing Christians around the world through outreaches to attack "the five global giants" of extreme poverty, disease, spiritual emptiness, youth self-serving leadership and (chess) illiteracy. The efforts include, promoting reconciliation, assisting the poor, caring for the sick and educating the next generation.  He is currently working on a Christian book called, “Will You Make the Right Move” due to be published sometime in 2017.
