Minister McGee embraced and accepted the effectual call into ministry in July, 2006 and preached her initial sermon on April 15, 2007. She was licensed immediately thereafter. Since 2007, Minister McGee has served in various capacities as preacher of God’s Word, Administrative Liaison for Associates in Ministry, Apartment Community Residential Weekly Bible Study Teacher, participant in weekly evangelism, and teacher of a Weekly Disciples’ Class. She has a passion for preaching and teaching people how to apply the Word of God into their daily lives. As an Associate Minister at the Union Baptist Church, she is given opportunities to preach and teach the Word as a Sunday School teacher of the Teenage (GANG) Class and has conducted workshops related to “Moving from Discipleship to Stewardship” and “Developing Your Ministerial Gifts with Practical Tools and Integrity.” Prior to joining Union Baptist Church, she was a member of the Greater Joy Missionary Baptist Church for nineteen years where Bishop James E. Daniel was Senior Pastor.
Minister McGee received her formal education from North Carolina Central University and Durham Technical Community College, Durham, NC. She is currently enrolled in Apex School of Theology, Durham, NC and is the Historian of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Durham and Vicinity (IMA).
